Air Force Jr. ROTC Flight Training
Remember,
the ROTC training program is beginning its 3rd year, but we
always need of more instructor pilots and ground support (aircraft
repairs) personnel. If you are interested in instructing the Jr
ROTC cadets contact our club VP, Buck Murray, at bgmurray@wildblue.net
You can also click the link below to download the Jr. ROTC
training syllabus. Buck will put the word out for the next
training session. The goal is to provide at least one week
of advance notice for instructors.

Model Aviation Magazine Article
1 Oct 07:
The September 2007 copy of Model Aviation published an article on
our May 12, 2007 JR ROTC Jamboree. It's on Page 12, under the
"IN the AIR." I can't give you a direct link to the Academy
of Model Aeronautics MA section because the magazine is available on
line for AMA members only, and you have to log on to the AMA website to
get there. Rick Zondlo scanned the article and I've posted it to
the website: Model Aviation Article

Jr ROTC Syllabus
Buck
Murray desperately needs our help with 2007/2008 class of ROTC
cadets!!! He has 3 planes ready to go, but we can always use
more. If you don't feel comfortable flight instructing, we still
need ground crews to charge batteries, monitor radios and frequencies,
teach ground instruction, and photograph the event for the newsletter
and website. We can also use some folks to provide some tender
loving care to the 3 planes in the hangar. Engine tuning,
covering, crack repairs, aligning the control surfaces, and
straightening (or replacing) the landing gear. Contact Buck
Murray if you can help!!! See above to get a copy of the
Syllabus!!!
